Heather Beatty, MS, PG

Ms. Beatty is a veteran of the central Texas karst regulatory network. During more than 15 years in the Edwards Aquifer Protection Program at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Ms. Beatty developed expertise in water pollution abatement plans, and other applications required for development on the Edwards Aquifer.  She was a senior technical lead and taught investigation techniques to new TCEQ environmental investigators.  Ms. Beatty was the District Geologist with the Texas Department of Transportation Austin District Office for six years where she functioned as the storm water quality subject matter expert.  She developed a proactive approach to water quality compliance, and was the point of contact for all planning, construction and maintenance matters that related to Edwards Aquifer compliance for the TxDOT Austin District.  At Cambrian since 2019, Ms. Beatty is responsible for conducting geological assessments and karst void response for transportation projects.  She has led several successful geophysical investigations for highway projects. Ms. Beatty is a former adjunct professor at Austin Community College where she taught Physical Geology and Environmental Regulations.
